So Sad :(

I've been watching these two pugs at doggy daycare for years and this is exactly how they are always sitting- up against the wall and ALWAYS touching. They are there Monday through Friday and they never do anything else. I wonder if their parents think they are having fun? I think they'd rather be hanging out in their own home. Makes me sad. One day there was a mini doberman that had joined them so it was the three of them all piled up.

Mom sent the pictures last week and Erin posted this video. It truly is amazing and just makes you feel good all over :)

Just A Word Of Thanks

Thanks to everyone who helped out with the kids while Gary and I were in Las Vegas. Nan, Joan, Granddaddy and Ree Ree - we couldn't go away without all the support. We had a great time and the time we spend is always such a great marriage renewal-----SO THANKS!

More on the weekend later.

Ciao for now :)

What's Been Going On?

Not a lot of excitement, but definitely a lot of busyness. The weekend started out like it always does with a trip to the horse barn for Ansley's weekly riding lesson. She's made such great improvements over her last three lessons and she's still loving it! After riding I rushed her to her friend Kasey's house for her birthday sleepover. The girls went to Atlanta Rocks which is a rock climbing facility and they had a blast and stayed up way too late!

Saturday was busy finishing up Pinewood derby race cars and the weigh in. Joan got the kids and took them to see Bailey and to dinner while Gary and I planned our trip to Disneyland over spring break. We're going to spend one week in LA, staying at the Disneyland Hotel, and we are all so excited to see the west coast Disney.

Sunday Ansley and I went to Karen's baby shower, raced from there to church and the results of the Derby. Ansley's car had three first place finishes and one second place. Zack had two seconds, a third and a fourth, I believe. We left there to head to the Parrish's for our annual Super Bowl party.

Gary left this morning for Las Vegas and I leave Thursday!!!

So, there you go. Nothing too exciting, but never still - that's for sure.

First, A Little Housekeeping

Well, lookie here. Pictures posting. Before I start in on St. John, these pictures were on the disposable camera. I figured I'd post these oldies first.
Gary and Ansley on, I think, the beach when we were in Gulf Shores although by looking at it, I don't think it is because we flew so I wouldn't have taken towels or beach chairs. Hum...don't know where this was taken.

I know this was taken when we went to Gulf Shores because that's Lily Grace, the Dery's daughter. We took their boat and went towards Pensacola. We docked on an island that had an old fort on it and 1000's of hermit crabs. Oh, and jelly fish.

This was taken at Sea World when we were in Orlando.

Same picturesque place -Sea World.

The Fail Blog

Okay, so I know most of you are eagerly waiting for me to update the blog with pictures and commentary from our trip to St. John and I will get to it. But I've got pictures on my iphone, a disposable camera and my digital and so until I can get the motivation to get everything in one place on the computer, you'll have to wait some more time (how much time-I'm not sure.) Until then, to waste time, check out failblog.org. This site is filled with flat out fails. Most that I've seen are pretty funny. Check out the video of the guys trying to do jumping jacks.

Enjoy another soggy day in Atlanta. The weather is probably contributing to my lack of energy to post. Oh, that and the fact that I've got to get Gary ready to go skiing this weekend and me ready to head to NYC next week.

Ta ta for now!

No One Mourns The Wicked

Last night, Lainie, Sonya, two of Sonya's friend's, and I went to the Fox to see Wicked. Before the show we met at Baraonda for dinner. A fun time was had by all as evidenced by the following posted pictures - and some not posted as well!
The three friends still celebrating the year long 25th anniversary party. We started the celebration when we were in New York this past August.
Lainie and Sonya taunting me with their oh, so special iphones - one of which I DO NOT have.
For the past few years I've been trying to get them to go see Jersey Boys with me when we are in NY. Funny how they've never responded to my emails requesting we see the show. Hum.... Next trip girls?
Today, Sonya and her friends got passes for me and Lainie D. to go shop at the Gift Mart. Thanks Sonya. Lainie and I had a great time hauling that 35 pound plate all over the Mart and back to the car.
Happy Anniversary - again girls. What's next?

Hey Zack...

Are you missing anything? This is what happens when you leave your glove in Mr. Bill's yard.

You Know What We Need More Of?

Delicious juice cocktail! Because it's a boring rainy day, and because I've had nothing great to blog about and because I'm thirsty, I decided to whip me up a glass of my favorite concoction (no longer drinking is such a bummer). I was served this in the spa at the Mirage last time I was in Vegas. Pour some pineapple juice and cranberry juice together, throw in some ice, and voila! A little taste of the islands right in your own kitchen.

Good news for the Wicklund's. I just got notice that they made it through hurricane Omar!!

Also, Zack's game is at 3:30 Sunday. Only two more games so come on out!

Internet Music

Okay, for those of you who like to listen to music on your computer, pandora.com is a new way of finding and listening to music. Just enter any artist or artists and it creates a new radio station that plays that artist and other artists just like it. If you don't like a suggested song, just hit "thumbs down" and it helps narrow the results even more.

Best part...it's free!

The Weekend Update

Zack taking practice swings.
Ansley and Aunt Joan.

Nothing too much happening here in Dunwoody. Last night Aunt Joan babysat so Gary and I went and hung out at Starbuck's then went and saw Burn After Reading. Very good, very Coen Brothers. Zack had a game today and he won 16-12. It was a great game, but unfortunately we had to beat Jack Caiaccio's team. Zack thinks he's earned street bragging rights except I won't let him brag. Someone has to be the bad guy. Jack had a great game, though!

I took these pictures last week. I forgot my camera today and it's too bad because Zack played much better this week. Last week he was playing after a spend the night party as well as the Falcon's game. His game was a little lackluster. This week was much improved.

Quinn's Missing

What happens when your 4th moves to St. John and you have an uneven amount of hockey players? You have to add your sisters. And when the smallest one doesn't have a hockey stick, she has to use a rake.

Not Feeling It

My body is so freakin' sore from boot camp I can't even think straight. Blogging is the furthest thing from my mind. Getting from point A to point B is. I'm sure those women are trying to kill me. Also, I'm still trying to have a love in with my new computer. I'm not sure we're compatible - we're still trying to figure each other out. When we do I'll post some pictures. I have a bunch on a disk that I had developed from six different cameras. I started with the pictures from Ansley's 10th birthday trip but the computer failure from over the weekend has halted my progress. I'll get back to that soon.

In the meantime, I hope everyone's week is going well.

PS to Michelle, they got the tree out of your yard and there is a blue tarp on top of the shed. It started pouring so I'm not sure what else they've done, but I'll get over there tomorrow to see what DeKalb County has going on!

Bye Bye Bird

Ansley found a dead baby blue jay in the backyard. Gary had to assume his "daddy job" and dig a hole. Zack then carried the bird and placed it in the hole and he and Ansley buried it. RIP little bird. (Sorry about the sideways picture. Can't seem to get it to rotate - you know I'm new at this!)
