What to Say? What to Do?

I guess it's been a while since I've posted-looks like since April actually. Life takes over, life gets in the way, things fall behind, things get pushed aside. The blog has been the least of my worries. Thanks for understanding. I know you all looked forward to it--too forward maybe and that put a lot of stress on an already stressed to the max girl. So, if this post is done with good intentions of trying to keep current, but once again falls short, please remember not everything is always as it seems. That sometimes the smile can be masking a lot just so the people in your life don't have to suffer as well.

Love to all who love me and care :o)

Remind Me Again How Old I Am

Soooooo, today I'm at the gym in the most kick butt class called Abs, Legs and Thighs - taught by Jeffrey. Lots of friends go, it's hard as he!!, I'm sore for the next week. There we are today and Jeffrey has us running against others and well, anyone who knows me knows I'm not too competitive. I mean, I play to win, but it's no big deal if I lose, it's all in the fun-----EXECEPT when it comes to sprinting against someone. Y'all know I ran track and I still think I'm in high school because whenever a challenge comes up to race someone I'M ALL OVER IT---IN IT TO WIN IT NO MATTER WHAT THE COST.

I'm sprinting along when I come up to run with my friend Matt. Uh huh, yep, off I go to beat him, get my sneaker hung up on the rubber workout floor and YES, bust it- face first. (no I wasn't hurt) but damn was I pissed to not win. Matt was very sweet. He came over, picked me up, said "poor baby" and he meant it :o) He didn't even say "I won!"

Naturally, I've told just about everyone about it because I'm such a spazz.

Gary made sure I was okay then casually stated "well, at least you didn't end up under the car this time." Touche' Mr. Gray and thanks for pointing that horror story out to me again!!!

A Little update

Hi everyone. It's been a while and things are happening and I'm going to forget it I don't type it out. But, my computer crapped out - AGAIN - so I'm on Ansley's laptop and it's really hard for me to type on this thing!! Might be short and sweet :)

So, Bob is home and healing. I haven't seen him in a week but from what we hear, he's glad to be home.

Ansley was required to try out for the Advanced band and even though she didn't want to make it, she did!!!!! We're very proud of her and she's proud of herself even though getting to school this morning for band practice at 7:00 wasn't her favorite part of the day I'm sure!

Took Zack to the orthodontist last week and guess what? Yep, two in braces. He goes back in a couple of weeks to have an expander put in for a few months to give him a little more space, but by summer I expect to have two with metal in their mouthes. Oh yeah, he's also tongue tied and will need to have that fixed which will help his speech and allow his tongue to do whatever it's supposed to do, but that's not in the future yet. Naturally, he's not excited :o( Don't blame him although it should be no big deal to snip that thing that attaches to his tongue.

We're also a proud family that includes two new goldfish, Max and Ruby, in a big aquarium in Ansley's room. They're really fun to watch and a whole lot more interesting than the beta fish Zack still has.

The kids are excited about the Easter Egg hunt on Sunday and I'm excited to see all the family!!!
And I should say I'm excited that He Is Risen!

See you all on Sunday. No baseball or softball on Saturday.

Stone Mountain with My Favorite Little Man

Today I chaperoned Zack's class on a trip to Stone Mountain. What a gorgeous day to be hiking the mountain. We really could not have asked for better weather. Perhaps spring is really here?

Bob Update

Bob went home today. I haven't heard how he's doing so far, but I know he's glad to be back home.

Busy Weekend

I shipped Ansley off this morning to go camp Timber Ridge with the Girl Scouts and that's probably a good thing! I was sure there would be blood shed between she and her brother before I got her out the door!!!!!!! She'll be back tomorrow around lunch.

Headed to MC now for 12:00 pictures then Zack's game is at 1:30. Come on Rangers----WE NEED A WIN!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying this gorgeous weather.

WELCOME SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a Difference a Day Makes!

I took the kids to see Bob last night and he was finally starting to wake up. The ICU nurses were nice enough to sort of look the other way so the kids could sneak in to see Papa. He managed to say both their names and tell Ansley he loved her.

We just got back and this morning he's sitting up in a chair and actually interacting with everyone!! Little by little he's waking up. They hope to have him in a room by Monday or so.

Update on Bob

So, if anyone hasn't heard from Mom, Bob had a heart attack Wednesday morning and a quardruple bypass yesterday morning. They have tried to let him wake up on his own, but as the nurse put it to Gary this morning, he's "aggressive!" meaning he's trying to get out of the bed and pull stuff out of himself. They keep sedating him and have started to begin taking the some of the tubes out and will finally remove the breathing tube so that he'll be more able to be feisty without getting hurt. Hopefully by tomorrow he'll be able to wake up on his own. He has yet to be awake yet since the attack so noone know yet whether there is any neuro damage. His heart was stopped for 5 -8 minutes in the ambulance. Here's praying there's not.

Hope everyone has some fun plans for the weekend. Ansley is camping with the girl scouts and Zack's game is at 1:30 so come on out! Hopefully it will be as beautiful as it is today =)

Michelle's Idea

"Hey Kelly, why don't you blog about why your son's walking around the front yard with a golf glove on and a shovel?"

"Hey Zack----why were you walking around the yard with a golf glove on and a shovel?"

"Making holes for the golf course" said looking at me like I'm stupid :o/

Okay, makes perfect sense. Better than what my first thought was and it had something to do with ~evidence~ he was trying to conceal. just kidding!!!!!!

Michell

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME BASEBALL?

We are!!!!! Zack's first game is this Wednesday at 5:30 - Double A field. Come on out (if it's not raining)!!!!!!

Also, Ansley is going on her 5th grade trip tomorrow so don't come to her game or you'll be watching a bunch of girls you don't know!!!!!

Speaking of her trip, she's headed to Blue Ridge for two whole days! She'll be back Wednesday. I know she's going to have a blast and what a big girl!!!! Two whole days away from me and she's not with family! Hope I'm okay :o)

Hope y'all are okay as well!

Let's Try This Again

Okay yesterday at Uncle Ralph's memorial, which by the way was wonderful - but more on that later, Mom, Daddy and Marie all commented ie: guilted me, on the fact that I hadn't written in quite a while ( three months to be exact) and was I ever going to again.

Okay, okay, guilt has sunk in so here we go-------round 33 of attempting to keep a blog. Life and circumstances tend to get in my way, with maybe a dash of ADD, and time gets away or maybe I just haven't had anything worthwhile to share. I do know that my phone keeps losing my blogger address thus making me unable to upload pictures from my phone which was the only way I could since the card reader on my computer is jacked up and the card won't fit in. Oh, and the fact I can't find the charger to my camera (that ADD thing again?). Hard to take pictures with a dead camera :o/

So, with that, I will start trying all possible combinations of what could possibly be the blogger address and I'll start uploading and commentating again. Wait, is commentating a real word or did I just make that up? Sounds good anyway.

Softball opens tomorrow. Ansley's game is at 9:00 (come on all wussies!!! get out there) and **gulp** my baby is pitching. WAHHHHHHHH!! No stress on mom at all, huh??? Do I really need to start my day with all that pacing and hyperventilating?? She'll do great. She's having a great start to the season in practice and she's LOVING it!!!

Lastly, before I have to go and welcome playdates to the house, Uncle Ralph's memorial was yesterday and just beautiful. He chose special songs to be played and the words spoken by his old army buddy, Clayton (tear jerker) and the pastor of their church were amazing, heartfelt and emotional words spoken of an amazing man. I got to see Uncle Ralph at Piedmont a couple of days before his heart surgery and I can't tell you how much that comforts me and how blessed I was to see him and call him my Godfather. He's already missed a ton. Prayers going up for the family.

So folks, love 'em and hug 'em while you've got 'em.

((((((((Hugsandlove))))))))) to all of you!
