Ansley's 10th Birthday, June 11, 2008

I just got some pictures back from Ansley's 10th birthday celebration - a day long event! From what I can tell, whenever a picture is taken up and down instead of horizontal, this is how it is published. When my friend Michelle gets here in a couple of weeks (in from St. John!) I'll get her to show me how to rotate these. In the meantime, enjoy some sideways pictures of our preteen!

Birthday breakfast. She chose Chic-Fil-A and of course got to eat it off the birthday plate and wear the special birthday hat!
This picture looks like brother and sister may even like each other, but then again...
Ansley in her new kayak. She and Zack both had a great time paddling around the lake and both could do it with ease.

On her way to the Verizon Amphitheater to see Steely Dan because who doesn't want to see Steely Dan on their 10th birthday - wink, wink. We had a great time although Zack slept through the whole concert! Gary did a great job painting the place.

Weekend Camping

This past weekend Gary took the kids camping along with two other cub scouts and their dads and siblings. Mom had to stay home in order to have her hair done and get a massage - oh, and take care of the dog. Here are some cute pictures of the kids at a waterfall.

Bye Bye Bird

Ansley found a dead baby blue jay in the backyard. Gary had to assume his "daddy job" and dig a hole. Zack then carried the bird and placed it in the hole and he and Ansley buried it. RIP little bird. (Sorry about the sideways picture. Can't seem to get it to rotate - you know I'm new at this!)

Fun at the Yellow River Game Ranch

Here are the kids petting this sweet deer.
Here is Mom trying to get this pest of a deer to get away from the peanuts - which he was very fond of. Now, if there was a picture taken right after this one, you would see the deer JUMPING on me with both feet on my shoulders trying to take the peanuts - or was he just frisky? GO ON DEER.
The kids with our long lost Uncle Berle. Notice the resemblance?

Wow, can this be?

Okay, all. I'm trying to step it up into the 21st century and actually post a blog the family can access to see what the Gray's, especially the Gray children, are up to. One day I hope to be able to post pictures and everything!! We'll see.
