The Reason I Go To Disney Every Halloween...

The incredible parade------

BEST PARADE EVER!!!!!

Last Night with the Cooper's

On Sunday night we went with Granddaddy, Ree Ree and the Cooper's to our favorite restaurant at Disney, Fulton's. It's located at Downtown Disney and is a crab house of sorts. Had a great time until we left to go shopping and Zachary got lost. There is no terror like realizing that out of five other grownups no one has your child. Luckily after I realized he was with NO ONE I found him quickly at information. Yikes.

R.I.P. Spot

Nothing like coming back from the happiest place on earth, to the saddest. From past posts, I've told ya'll that something hasn't been right in Zack's crab's house. First we had the crab who wouldn't stay dressed and then about a month ago Spot burrowed underground and hadn't resurfaced since. I figured he was trying to molt but I kept checking on him and he never did. Before we left I checked to make sure he was still alive -and he was- but when we got back last night I went to check and the ODOR told me otherwise. I called the undertaker (Gary), informed the owner, and we all had a moment of silence - except Gary who had the disgusting task of disposing of the deceased - begrudgingly I might add. Spot was a good crab and he'll be missed -for a day or so. More about the trip later when I get out from under the mound of laundry.

And We're Off!

It's that time of year. The Gray's are making their annual pilgrimage tomorrow to the Not So Scary Halloween Party. Granddaddy and Ree Ree are already there and the Cooper's are making their way. Boo To You All!!!!!

Oh, My Lord

It's getting worse. Now the whole fireplace is leaking. You can see the water running out of the stone!!!!! The water is so bad it has run off the hearth and under the rug. HELP! This is ridiculous. I'm going to need an ark soon.

Crummy, Rainy Afternoon

It's nasty outside and in. We finally get rain and what do I get? A new roof. I was just looking at the ceiling in the den when I think "man, that looks like a big water spot." I drag a chair over to see and when I barely touch it the ceiling busts open and water starts spilling all over me and the floor. I called Gary, who is totally out of town, to express my great concern and all I get is "well, I guess we finally need a new roof. Put a bucket under it." Joan has moved all the pictures off the entertainment center and fashioned a tarp over it. I hate spending money on house maintenance.
More crummy - I noticed night before last that Zack's big toe, around the nail, was all red - really red. I checked on it again yesterday and it was just as red. I called the doctor and got an appointment for this morning. So, for a very long time I had to listen to him moan over having to go to the doctor. (I was trying to have a phone conversation with Deborah and he was crying so loud she asked if he was in pain or just fretting. Just fretting - talk louder.) Actually, for Zack, he did really well this morning. What he's not doing well at is drinking the gloppy, pink medicine the doctor gave to clear up the angry toe. I've even put it into chocolate milk, but he's been sitting at the table for over 20 minutes complaining about it. Wait! He just finished the first dose. Three times a day - ought to be fun.

No Title - Just Pictures

Ree Ree gave Granddaddy a new camera for his birthday and he took pictures of the massive blowout on Sunday (24-9 - Rockhounds!!) Ree Ree tried sending them to me and I'm trying to post. These are the only two I can. Oh well, here's the baseball kid.
