Oh my goodness. The past week has been nuts! We got back from an awesome trip to Orlando last Sunday. Little kids and big kids alike had a terrific time. We hit the Universal parks a few days, went to Disney's Typhoon Lagoon a day (mom and dad enjoyed that as well. felt like a big kid), we saw the wacky Blue Man Group one night then ate at the Hard Rock Cafe. To make it all the better, the Parrish's joined us.
Gary took Monday off to hang with us and we spent the day running around and he and I became the proud grandparents to two beta fish, Sims and King. So far so good!
The rest of the week was spent on lots of catch up appointments and some fun! We had school registrations and open houses along with meet and greet.
This weekend was spent here at home. Ansley totally cleaned out her room (meaning moved it all into mine!), we took apart her old crib bed :'( and gave it to the garbage men, then Gary painted her room a really cool shade of purple. Her new loft bed should be here this week we hope!!! We got to give Gary the tour of her new school as well. Zack had his first ball practice Saturday and a pitching clinic on Sunday and he and Gary played golf Sunday afternoon while Ansley and I did her favorite thing we like to call spend daddy's money on clothes!!!
Yesterday was the big first day of school. We started out early and walked Ansley to her new school. I stayed with her while Gary then walked Zack back to Vanderlyn. She was a nervous little girl but when she and Patrick walked back up, she was all smiles. She LOVES her three teachers so that was great. Zack was fine although with the new school added to the bus schedule, he didn't get home until 3:10!!! I took Ansley to get her spacers for her braces then she came home and went to work at the job she loves to get paid for. Gary and I are so proud and just can't believe how grown up she is. He gets a little misty every time we talk about it!!
I'd love to be able to post more pictures from the first day of school but my SD card won't load on the computer :(. I'll keep trying.
