Weekend So Far

So, we've finished up the horse show with Ansley getting a blue ribbon in the figure 8, fourth place in the trot (can't remember to keep those hands down!), second in the jump and Division Champion also known as FIRST in class!!!

Zack had his game and although they lost, big, he had a great game.

We've babysat Ashley and we all had a good time with that.

And......I tried to have to talk with Ansley today and she said she already knew what sex was and it was gross and she didn't want to talk about it. I told her that was all well and fine, but we needed to discuss the biology of it. We'll try again tomorrow :)

Fun Things I Get To Do This Weekend

1. This afternoon is my turn to drive to horseback with Sam and Ansley. That means we have to race home from the bus to get changed into all the riding gear then beat the traffic to east cobb for the looonnngest wait ever. During this long lesson I'll have to endure listening to Zack complain constantly and try and squash any thought I might have of feeding him to a horse.

2. Saturday morning. Get up extra early to get Ansley ready for her horse show at 9:00. This means actually locating her white polo shirt (where is that thing?), get her hair into a hair net AND turned under, and then race back across to the barn to be there at 9:00. Endure more complaints from the little brother. I'll have to admit three hours at the barn is a rather long time. Try and curb the urge to feed myself to a horse.

3. Gallop back home to get ready for Zack's 3:30 baseball game. WE ARE NOT GOING TO ANSLEY'S 12:00 SOFTBALL GAME - so don't show up for it!!

4. Race home from there in time to accept Ashley and babysit that sweet baby for a few hours while Karen and Mike go enjoy a grownup dinner with some friends----NO complaining here.

Sunday----

1. Get to have THE TALK with my daughter because she asked me the other day what sex was. Why did it never occur to me that when I was busy making these children that eventually one day, I MIGHT have to actually explain how that all happened?????

Monday I spent the day with Karen and Ashley. Oh my gosh, she's just the most adorable little thing. I'm totally in love. Can you tell?

Meet Ashley Madeline Ewing

Finally, this beautiful baby is here! She finally arrive around 3:00 am Sunday morning. We went and saw her yesterday and we are all in love.
She weighed in at 7 lbs 14 ozs. (and yes, who guessed EXACTLY and won the pool? That would be moi!) and was 20" long. Karen is doing fine and Mike is over the moon. So are we, so are we.
